This camera belongs to the long succession of Russian cameras copies of Leica II or III. Zorki S succeeded (with other Zorki between the two) Zorki I, itself resembling the Fed I which was the exact copy of Leica II.
Gradually, the descendants moved away from their model of origin. For this reason, the cap of Zorki S is different from that of Leica II.
